Welcome to the Peter Green Terms and conditions. These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website. By using or accessing our website and/or placing any orders you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions.
You should not proceed with your purchase until you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.
These terms relate to internet/telephone sales – showroom sales have a different set of terms and conditions which are given at the time of order.
To provide our customers with peace of mind and to demonstrate our commitment to responsible retailing, Eastsleep Ltd T/A Peter Green is a registered full member of The Furniture Ombudsman. The Furniture Ombudsman is an independent not-for-profit organisation which raises standards and is approved by the government to provide alternative dispute resolution services. We follow their Code of Practice which provides our customers with additional protection if things go wrong. Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of this website is done at your own discretion and risk and that you will be solely responsible for any damage to your own computer system or loss of data that results from the download of any such material.
The majority of our products are sold fully assembled, however on occasions certain pieces will need assembly, some assembly charges may apply please check at time of purchase.
We endeavour to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on the website. However we cannot guarantee the complete accuracy of the pictures or photographs that are shown. Many conditions such as monitor settings and batching can affect the colouring of items in a picture.
All sizes are approximate.
How will your order be delivered?
We will ship your order using the fastest, safest, and most reliable method possible. Dispatch methods are listed on the product page. We will select the appropriate dispatch method and carrier when you order. It is not possible to choose a carrier or dispatch method.
Small Parcel Delivery
Most products are delivered by parcel couriers. Upon dispatch, we will notify you via email with the estimated day of delivery and tracking number.
Some larger items will be delivered by specialist carriers. Upon dispatch we will email you with detailed delivery instructions and an estimated delivery date. We will provide a tracking number so that you can track your package(s).
The largest items will be handled by specialist carriers with two-person delivery teams. Upon dispatch we will email you with detailed delivery instructions and an estimated delivery date. We will provide a tracking number so that you can track your package(s).
When Will My Order Arrive?
Every product lists an estimated dispatch and delivery date. After order placement, we will reconfirm those estimated dispatch and delivery dates on our order confirmation via email. Additionally, upon dispatch we will send you a tracking number to track your package to your delivery point as well as update you with a more accurate delivery date.
Please note that unfortunately we currently only ship mainland UK.
All charges outside our catchment area are clearly marked in the shopping basket and throughout checkout.

UK Extended Area Dispatch Fees
We will deliver items with a value of £500 and above for free within a 25miles of our showroom. We will deliver items over 25 miles radius and within 50 miles for a £5/ mile charge. Outside our catchment the charges will be displayed at checkout.
For large items based on dimensions and or weight we use specialist couriers to ensure safe handling. If your delivery address and items purchased falls into this category shipping costs will be shown in your basket.
Returns, Refunds and your right to cancel
In compliance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have a cooling off period where you may withdraw your order and therefore your agreement with us. The cooling off period is any time up to fourteen working days after the day we have delivered the product to you. You must cancel your order in writing by either letter or email. We must receive this within the 14 day period.
If the goods are returned for any other reasons than being defective then you will be required to arrange and pay for the cost of returning the goods to us. Alternatively we will collect the goods and charge you the direct cost of collection.
The product must be in its delivered form and must not have been tampered with in any way, you are advised to where ever possible use the original packaging to protect the product on its return journey, unless assembled by our own delivery team.
The product will be inspected on return to ensure that the product has not been tampered with and is complete. Please be advised that you do have a duty of care for the products during the period of cancellation of your order and the collection of the goods.
Where a refund is to be paid we will refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. We will usually process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case within 14 days of the day we received your cancellation instruction.
If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase please contact our customer service department on 023 8098 4109 We will try to resolve any issues that you have as quickly as possible and if necessary we will explain how to follow our complaints procedure.
If you remain unhappy with our final response, you may be entitles to refer your complaint to The Furniture Ombudsman and we are bound to follow any decision that they make. For hygiene reasons, divan sets pillows and mattresses cannot be returned or cancelled, unless in accordance with your legal rights e.g. if confirmed as defective by us. Once opened and used these items are excluded from a 14 day cooling off period.
Bespoke Items or Special Orders
Any products that are special order, bespoke or purchased in bulk are not subject to the cooling off period, we will have commissioned a supplier to make them specifically for you. This will include special order upholstery where a specific fabric and sofa style has been special ordered from a supplier to your order requirements.
Items from Stock
If, after having placed your stock order, you have a change of heart for whatever reason, you may cancel your order at any time prior to delivery. All you need to do is advise us by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Once we acknowledge receipt of your cancellation, you will receive a full refund using the same method as your original payment.
Cancellation by us
We reserve the right not to accept any order request if:
- we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered
- we do not deliver to your area
- one or more of the goods ordered was incorrectly described or priced on the website
- the payment transaction is not authorised
If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by email and will refund to you any sum paid by you to us in respect of the contract as soon as possible and in any event within 14 days of the cancellation of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
Site content and disclaimers
Every effort is made to ensure the complete accuracy of our website, however some prices/details contained on the website may change from time to time and it is possible that errors will occur. We will use our best endeavours to rectify any errors, as swiftly as possible but we cannot be responsible for any losses incurred.
To the maximum extent permissible by laws, we exclude all warranties, express or implied as to the accuracy of the information contained in any of the materials on this website. We cannot accept liability for any particular material on the website or as a result of any use of or reliance placed upon the information contained on this website.
We aim to constantly improve and develop www.hampshirehomeoffurniture.co.uk for the benefit of all our customers, to allow this process to take place, we may occasionally:
- modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this Website (or any part of it) with or without notice; and/or
- change the Conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the Website (or any part of it) following such change will demonstrate your acceptance of such change
- alter or extend promotions at any time.
If Eastsleep Ltd T/A Peter Green is informed of any inaccuracies in the material on the Site we will attempt to correct them as soon as we reasonably can.
Our total liability in regard to this contract shall be limited to the value of the goods.
- “buyer” means the consumer who buys or agrees to buy goods on this website
- “goods” means all products listed on the order
- “consumer” has the meaning given in section 13 unfair contract terms act 1977
- “Special items” mean any goods that are not held in stock by Eastsleep Ltd T/A Peter Green and are ordered specifically for the customer.
